QRsnapp is a free, browser-based QR code generator. No account required, no watermarks, no expiry dates on your codes, and no data collection beyond what Google AdSense requires to keep the service free. Everything you create stays on your device.
What QRsnapp is
QRsnapp is a web application that lets anyone generate professional-quality QR codes for free. You can create QR codes for URLs, Wi-Fi networks, contact cards (vCard/MeCard), email addresses, SMS, phone numbers, locations, calendar events, Bitcoin wallet addresses, and more — all from a single, fast-loading page.
What sets QRsnapp apart is that every QR code is generated entirely inside your browser. No content you enter — URLs, Wi-Fi passwords, personal contact details — is ever transmitted to our servers. It stays on your device and nowhere else.
You can customise your QR codes with your own logo, custom colours, gradient fills, different dot shapes, and multiple corner styles. Finished codes can be downloaded as PNG (for digital use), SVG (infinitely scalable, ideal for print), or PDF (print-ready A4). Every format, every feature — completely free, forever.
Our values
Privacy first
Your QR code content never leaves your device. We don't log, store, or process what you generate.
Genuinely free
No paywalled features, no watermarks, no expiry on the QR codes you generate. Free means free.
Fast and reliable
No servers processing your request means no latency. QR codes generate instantly, offline-capable.
Beautiful output
Design tools that produce QR codes that look intentional — not like afterthoughts.
Who we are
QRsnapp is an independent web project, operated as a one-person side project with a focus on building genuinely useful, privacy-respecting tools. The site is built, maintained, and improved by a single developer who was frustrated with QR code generators that required sign-ups, slapped watermarks on free downloads, or hosted opaque backend services that collected user data without clear disclosure.
The goal was straightforward: build the QR code generator that should exist — fast, beautiful, private, and completely free — and put it on the open web for anyone to use.
QRsnapp is funded through Google AdSense advertising, which allows the service to remain free and independent. We are transparent about this in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
How QRsnapp works technically
QRsnapp is a client-side web application. When you open the site, all the QR generation logic is downloaded to your browser as JavaScript. From that point, every QR code you generate is created locally — your input data is never sent anywhere.
QR generation uses the industry-standard ISO/IEC 18004 specification. Supported error correction levels range from Level L (7% recovery) to Level H (30% recovery), with Level H used automatically when a logo is embedded to ensure the code remains scannable even with a large portion of it covered.
Downloaded files are generated entirely in the browser too. PNG and SVG exports use the HTML5 Canvas API and SVG serialization. PDF exports are created using a JavaScript PDF library. No file ever passes through our servers.
